FRSC Boss Recalls Men Caught Molesting Motorist in Egbeda, Oyo State

Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) boss, Dauda Ali Biu recalls his men caught on camera molesting a motorist along Oyo-Ife expressway, in Egbeda area of Oyo State, according to a press statement.

In the statement issued by Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, Biu describes the behaviour of the men in the patrol team as “patrol misconduct” and “a manner, tantamount to incivility to motorist”.

In a viral video on Wednesday, an officer, MJ Oni, is seen with a motorist, who was screaming and protesting his damaged windscreen and side mirror by Oni.

Corps MJ Oni is also caught slapping the person who recorded the incident while four other officers stood watching.

The Corps Marshall in the statement observed, “The provocative act as captured on camera is a complete contravention of the Federal Road Safety Corps’ standard operating procedures for officers on patrol operations”.

Therefore, The Corps Marshal has directed the offices of the Corps Intelligence and the Corps Provost to immediately commence a full and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances that propelled the officer caught on camera into the uncivil act and make necessary recommendations for swift administrative action.

Biu also noted, “FRSC is an ISO certified organisation that does not condone indiscipline or compromise standards when it comes to rendering service to the public.

“As such all necessary disciplinary actions recommended will be administered appropriately”, the statement quoted Biu as saying.
