Chinese National Tests Negative to Coronavirus

The Chinese National who was quarantined at the Lagos State Isolation Centre since Monday has tested negative to the Coronavirus, COVID-19.

According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, the Chinese National who arrived the country aboard Ethiopian Airline began to cough seriously drawing the attention of the Medical Officials stationed at the airport who immediately evacuated him to the Isolation Centre at Yaba.

Professor Abayomi had earlier told newsmen during the daily updates that the Chinese National was  attended to in a professional manner and in best medical practices, by the medical team at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and driven in the Ambulance provided for the purpose to the Isolation Centre.

“There the Chinese National spent the night under watch and his specimen was taken from his orifice, the lungs, as the normal practice and tested for the presence of the virus and results are been awaited”, said Abayomi.

Soon after the result came out, the Commissioner broke the news that the results of the test came out negative.

He told newsmen that so far, the country has only one positive case of the Italian National who arrived the country on February 25.
